Today one of my favorite bloggers, Kaleigh, will share some of her fabulous fashion tips with you guys!

Hey Ya'll!
I'm Kaleigh, and I blog over here!

I'm 23 years old, and just recently started what I call  my "big girl job". Meaning that for the first time ever, I have a dress code.

And I hit a road block. What? You can't wear sweatpants to work? What?! Jeans are only allowed on Fridays? WHAT?! You expect me to look presentable EVERY DAY?! What kind of place is this?!
But let's just admit, some days it can be really tough to come up with an outfit that is cute and fun and makes you feel good, but is also work appropriate! Personally, i think my sweat pants are dang cute. and fun. AND make me feel good. But I don't see that logic working on my boss.

So here is a list of closet essentials I have been collecting to ward off the Dress Code Doldrums.

1. The LBD

This is a staple that has been tried and remains true. However, even an LBD can feel a little bleh, so try finding a dress with fun details, like the cap sleeves and pleated bodice on this one. Then jazz it up with some accessories a la Audrey Hepburn, and you've got a chic but FUN outfit.

2. Accessorize

Scarves, bracelets and belts can all make a boring outfit into something special. Take the time (and money) to invest in a few fun or unique accessories and you'll start coming up with a ton of new outfits using the same clothes you already have.

3. A fun skirt

Skirts always make me feel more feminine. Knock it up another notch, and wear skirts with funky cuts like this high-low skirt. Wild prints, bright colors and unique sillhouettes can take a simple outfit (a skirt and top) into a memorable one.

4. An UNEXPECTED pair of dress pants.
Dress pants are always a staple in offices, but they can start to feel a little dull and boring if you aren't careful. To jazz things up a bit, I steer clear of your basic stretchy black pants and go for a surprising color or cut. These navy blue silky wide leg pants are fantastic, whether dressed up or down. And I LOVE these pink pants. I actually dyed them myself! They are a fun burst of color that takes pants to a whole new level.

5. Layers
Layers are a fantastic way to stretch a wardrobe over all four seasons. Mix different prints, like these leopard print heels, striped dress and checkered top, to add interest to a simple outfit. And if you haven't figured out yet, I love pops of color! Bright cardigans are an easy way to add a pop of color, which always helps an outfit feel more special.

And that's it! 5 ways to keep away the Dress code Doldrums!

Thanks so much for having me Mackensie!!!
